Our faculty told us to draw what we saw in the dreams but we were drawing the representation of the elements or emotions we felt in the dream. Till the end of the module we were able to come out of the perception of representation of elements.
So my Dream was of chasing a shadow which eventually ended up going inside a under- construction building and i continued chasing that shadow inside that building but i got stuck in the middle of where i could not find any way to escape and my dream ends here...
During the orientation module, we divided into groups to exchange insights on our dream drawings. Through lively discussions, we discovered a common thread: the feeling of being trapped. Each dreamscape shared elements of absurdity and discomfort. Building on this collective understanding, we converged on the 'maze' concept as our central theme. This collaborative artwork embodies the fusion of individual skills and perspectives
Next, we created our 2D dream sketches into 3D installations. Our task was to preserve the essence of trapped absurdity while transforming flat drawings into volumetric spaces. Under the guidance of our TAs, we crafted intricate staircases, construct them with depth and dimensionality to create immersive, thought-provoking environments.
